For over 7 years Amber has provided a comforting and confidential environment for people of all ages to find inner peace and healing through the counseling experience. She views herself as a helper, not a fixer. Her approach is energetic and empowering, balanced with compassion and warmth. She has a heart for children, teens and adults needing support and guidance through the healing process. Amber is primarily client centered with a trauma informed, holistic and integrative approach utilizing:

Amber is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor in the
State of Missouri,  and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the
State of Kansas.
Amber received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Emporia State University in 2002. She completed her Master of Arts in Counseling at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015. She holds memberships in the American Association for Christian
Counselors (AACC) and in the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
Alice, a Bernedoodle and therapy dog in training, is also a fixture in Amber’s office. Alice provides comfort and snuggles, as well as comic relief at times; clients look forward to greeting her when they come to sessions.
When not at work Amber loves to exercise and ride bicycles with her husband, Paul. She also enjoys good food, helping her community through local events and fundraisers and reading a good book on slow weekends.
For the initial session, fees are $150 and $125 thereafter. Amber is not on insurance panels, however, she can provide documentation for clients to submit claims to their insurance. She does accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flex Spending Accounts. For additional questions or to schedule an appointment, please call or email Amber directly.
