Judy is passionate about working with clients seeking healing and growth. She provides a warm, compassionate, and a non-judgmental environment for clients to grow in purpose, peace and to thrive.

She received a bachelor of science in nursing in 1988 from CMSU, and a master of science in counseling in 2009 from UCM. She completed clinical internships in a private practice, and an in-patient unit for trauma based disorders. Her practice focus includes anxiety, self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, stress management, women’s issues, and marriage counseling.

She provides general professional consultation for counseling professionals and is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant for EMDR therapy. Judy is a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Kansas, and a Professional Counselor Telehealth Provider in the State of South Carolina. In therapy, Judy uses a theoretical approach that represents both best practice and the client’s needs. Some of the approaches used include cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, EMDR, and supportive therapies. She is certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), is an EMDR approved consultant, and Prepare and Enrich for premarital and marital counseling. Judy is Level 3 Gottman Method trained to build stronger relationships. She is also certified in Trust-Based Relational Intervention, and medical hypnotherapy.

Judy is a trained mediator through the Center for Dispute Resolution, Missouri State University.
